The Client
Wine U Design gives people the chance to create their own wine, from grape to bottle.
The business serves three distinct customer groups: local customers booking classes and private events, customers buying custom wine online, and Long Island visitors looking for a memorable experience.
That created a more complex growth challenge than a standard ecommerce site. The website needed to support bookings, wine sales and local discovery without making any of those journeys harder to use.
The Challenge
Wine U Design was operating across two separate websites, one on Shopify and one on WordPress.
The business needed to bring both into one stronger platform, while protecting the search visibility that already brought customers to the site. It also needed to make bookings easier to manage, give online customers a compliant way to buy wine across the United States and create a clearer experience for visitors on mobile.
A poorly managed migration could have cost the business traffic, rankings and demand. The goal was to bring the sites together without losing the visibility that had already been built.

What results did we achieve?
Organic traffic held steady through the migration, then grew straight away.
Daily organic clicks increased from around 60 to more than 150. Daily Google impressions grew from roughly 12,000 to between 30,000 and 40,000. Organic click-through rate also improved from 0.4% to 0.7%.
The rebuild did not just preserve Wine U Design’s existing visibility. It gave the business a stronger platform for attracting booking customers, online buyers and local visitors.
Nothing leaves Market Jar unless it earns its place.

The Mechanism
We treated the migration as a customer-growth project, not a website move.
Before the new site went live, we mapped the existing pages and search signals that were already bringing customers in. Each important page had a clear route to its replacement, with redirects and technical checks in place to protect visibility.
The new site made it easier for customers to book wine-making sessions, private parties and events. It also created a more straightforward path for customers buying wine online.
Search tracking was in place from day one, so we could monitor the move closely and make sure the new platform was building on what had already worked.
The result was a faster, cleaner site that held its organic visibility and gave Wine U Design a better route to sustained customer demand.
