Organic Growth Case Study: Hambledon Wine Estates
Hambledon Wine Estate, Organic Growth Case Study, with Revenue Up 47% and Orders Up 25%

The Challenge
Hambledon Wine Estates operate in a fiercely competitive space. Big brands dominate the space, and their website was falling behind and potential customers were looking elsewhere.
What We Did
We rebuilt the homepage, fixed the technical foundation, optimised every key commercial page, and built topical authority around English sparkling wine and WSET courses.
The Results:
Across the full period, 13 April 2025 to 24 August 2026, the site pulled 84,130 clicks from 4,225,219 impressions.
Off page three
Average position went from 24.2 in April 2025 to 10.9 in August 2026. It crossed into the top ten in September 2025 and has stayed there for eleven straight months. That's the difference between existing and being found.
Mobile did the heavy lifting
Mobile clicks went from 13,729 to 16,528 in the like-for-like window. Average mobile position halved, 18.0 to 9.7. Desktop position moved further, 28.2 to 12.9, though desktop clicks were flat.
Most people looking for a vineyard lunch or a tasting are on a phone, often close by. Mobile position is the one that turns into a booking.
Beyond the brand name
Non-brand search is where new customers come from. Someone typing "hambledon vineyard" already knows the place. Someone typing "wine tasting hampshire" does not.
Non-brand clicks in the like-for-like window: 2,568 to 2,960. Average non-brand position: 28.9 to 14.6. Non-brand click-through rate went from 0.30% to 0.48%.
Non-brand impressions fell 28.5% over the same period. Fewer, better placed, better converting. The site is competing in the searches that matter instead of drifting through the ones that do not.
Terms now bringing people in who had never heard of Hambledon.
The pages doing the work
The restaurant page is now the second biggest entry point on the site, 5,555 clicks from 158,411 impressions at an average position of 8.3. Tour experiences brought 1,820. The English sparkling wine collection brought 1,873. Upcoming events sits at position 3.5.
Written content is pulling its weight too. A single piece answering how much wine comes from one vine brought 599 clicks from 68,584 impressions. The comparison piece on English sparkling wine against prosecco and cava sits at position 5.6.
That is a business being found by people planning a visit, buying a bottle, booking a course, or applying for a job.
