The Client

London Veg Box delivers fresh, seasonal fruit and veg boxes sourced from British farmers to households across London.

The business had a strong local product and a clear point of difference: good produce, delivered conveniently, while supporting local growers.

But the online route into the business needed work. London Veg Box needed more households to find the service, understand the subscription offer and make the first order.

The Challenge

Fresh-produce subscriptions depend on more than getting a one-off order.

The business needed to attract new local customers, make the subscription process easier to understand and create a reason for households to come back week after week.

Organic demand was low, at around two orders a week. The website needed to appear more often for relevant local searches and do a better job of turning interest into a subscription or order.

The goal was to build a more dependable base of local customers, not just create a short-term traffic spike.

What results did we achieve?

Organic orders increased from two a week to a consistent 10 to 12 per week.

That gave London Veg Box a five-fold increase in weekly orders from organic search.

The work also supported stronger customer retention. More households discovered the service, understood the subscription model and had a clearer route to repeat orders.

The business built a more reliable source of local demand, helping create a broader customer base and a stronger foundation for future growth.

The Mechanism

We focused on the local searches and customer decisions that lead to a weekly veg-box order.

That meant improving visibility for the terms households use when looking for fresh local produce, vegetable-box delivery and subscription options in London.

We also made the route to subscription clearer. A potential customer needed to understand what was in the box, where the produce came from, how delivery worked and why a subscription was worth committing to.

The work brought together local visibility, clearer product information and a more straightforward customer journey.

More local households found London Veg Box. More placed a first order. More had a reason to come back.
